13th hour of DAY 11 - Suffering

You heard this before: Suffering comes from desire. Desire causes suffering.

In concrete terms, you want something and you can't have it and don't, you suffer. You don't want something and you have to have it and do, you suffer.

Recently a college student came in and told me:

- I don't want to live anymore. I couldn't study. I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't sleep. I drink a lot. I take drugs. I attempted to kill myself 3 times but my friends saved me. Now here I am.

- Why? I asked. Why do you want to kill yourself?

- I had a girl friend, he said. We know we are right for each other. I know I am the one for her. But then she broke up with me. I was devastated. I don't want to live any more.

Then the young man broke down . .  . I was there, present to him and I invited him to breathe out . . . He did.

                                                                * * *

You want something and can't have it, you suffer.
You don't want to lose someone but you do, you suffer.
You've lost your meaning and purpose to live.

So suffering comes from desire and desire causes suffering. Sounds right, right? Or is there something else?

Isn't it true suffering is due to desire? If so then how about happiness?

Well, will you be happy when you have what you want and do have it?! Normally people are. Like you want to be a millionaire and you win the lottery, won't you be happy?! Normal people are. Yet some just won't, especially afterward . . . .

Now suffering comes from desire and happiness also comes from desire. Then desire causes both happiness and suffering?! Isn't that conflicting in itself?

Or is there something else?

Look at it carefully now.

Isn't it true desire is the cause of both happiness and suffering, or isn't you?

Isn't it you who want and don't want?
Isn't it you who love and hate?
Isn't it you who gain and lose?

When there is still "you," there will always be suffering and happiness. Unless . . . no more "you" but only giving and breathing out . . .

When you make anyone or anything "everything" and you have "them" for a while then you lose "them." That's when you lose "everything." Your life no longer has any meaning. You have no purpose to live any more.

Now please pay close attention: Though you've lost everything, there is still you. You still are.

It's you who decides. It's you who creates. It's you who makes.

It's your choice. It's your life. It's your meaning. It's your purpose.

As long as there is still "you," you know what will happen . . . .

Why don't we just observe everything and be present?

Why don't we just breathe out . . . breathe out now.

The Lord God, the Holy Spirit, always breathes out . . . .
He sustains everything and everyone in existence with His life-giving Breath . . . .
He is not just a Breath, but the Ever-living, Omnispresent, Eternal Breath . . .
and His Name is "I AM WHO AM WITH YOU ALWAYS . . . "

Breathe . . . Breathe out now. Thank you.

God bless y'all now.

DAY 11 - Correction.

I made a mistake.

Though my mistake was small, it affected everything I said or wrote.

So I will correct my mistake as a way to say thanks to the one who corrected me.

Thank you and God bless you for correcting me.

I will have to redo and re-post all my blogs from the First Day to Day 10.

Please be patient.

Oh, you might have asked what was the mistake?

Many of you already knew. It's an "e."

Yes, just an "e." That's all.

Instead of "Breathe out now" I mistakenly misspelled it as "Breath out now."

I stand corrected.

From now on y'all can "Breathe out now" correctly.

Breathe . . .  Breathe out now. Thanks.

God bless y'all now.

DAY 10 - Why.

"Why."

"Why" is not a mere question nor is it just a reaction. It's a response.

A question involves the mind. A reaction, the body. And a response?!

- A response involves both the mind and body. It is thoughtful and corporal.

Still, what does "why" respond to?

- It responds to suffering and something you don't understand.

"Why" emerges when suffering is unavoidable and you can't run from it nor know how to take it.

"Why" involves the whole mind, body, soul and spirit.

But why, "why," and not "how or what" when there is suffering?!

- Well, "how and what" is answerable and you can get to the bottom of "how" and "what."

As for "why" there is no bottom. Suffering has no bottom. Suffering is mysterious. No matter how or how much you explain it, it is unfathomable.

So what do you do?

One natural and human response is to let "why" emerge.

The only problem is when you want to get to the bottom of  "why" -  that is to consider it a question and want an answer, you get into more problems. Suffering then multiplies and intensifies.

Suffering by nature takes over the whole human person. So does "why."

Just let it be. . . like breathing out.

Once again, "why" is not only a question but a fully human response and a personal one. It needs no answer but understanding, not just an intellectual understanding but personal. It needs another human person to understand it.

Just as a crying child needs a mother to be there for her, not to answer all the questions but to understand her pain, so once someone understands your suffering, you know you are not alone.

Yet who then will truly understand you?
Is there anyone on this earth can understand you fully
Do you understand "you" fully?
Or you need Someone up and above?!

When you know Someone Who do understand your pain, then you allow it to pass through you . . . just like breathing out.

Look at it carefully.

Isn't "why" actually a way to breathe? A way to breathe out suffering?

Put it this way. Isn't "why" a "cry"?

And when you cry out "why", you breathe out with your whole being.

When you breathe out with your whole being, you come into the present. You begin to see and understand.

Why not just breathe out now . . . . and let the "why" go - along with all your suffering and pain.

Then, only one thing remains: to breathe . . . . Yes, breathe

So breathe . .  . . breathe out now with the Holy Spirit, then you'll see.

God bless y'all now.

Day 9 - For Free

You know breathing is for free?!

The air you breathe is for free?

The blue sky you see and enjoy is for free?

The sun that shines in the sky so bright is for free?

The moon and stars at night are for free?

The clouds of all sizes and shapes are for free?

The rain that falls to refresh your soul is for free?

The oceans, the springs, the streams, the mountains
and the trees in the forest, they are all for free?

You know that they are made for you and for me and for free?

Is SOMEONE up there really spoiling me and you or what?

How could that be? Everything is for free?!

Unbelievable!

Then . . . someone down here says, yeah, these are all for free, for me?! Yes.
Then . . . that someone down here says, they are all for me, only! And only me.
Then . . . you know what happens. . . . Right?!

Now, you have to pay for them.
You have to earn them.
You have to get them.
You have to accumulate them . . .
Otherwise you'll be empty handed and poor and have nothing.

Still, orginally they are for free . . . . and still they are all for free.

SOMEONE up there made it, gave it and said it. So let it be.

Now breathing . . . It's for free.

No one on earth can breathe for you or in your stead. You do it by yourself and for yourself.

No one on earth can take it away either.

Isn't that so?!

Look, you breathe . . . . you give. Breathing is giving away anyway and it's for free. How can anyone take away what you are already and always giving?!

Enjoy it.

Breathe . . . Breathe out now.

God bless y'all now.

Day 8 - Heaven

Of course, it has to be.

Heaven is knowing the Most Holy Spirit is breathing out now all over me.

Heaven is cherishing the Most Holy Spirit in every breath I take.

Heaven is loving the life-giving Breath of God, the Most High in inside my soul.

Heaven is breathing out with the Holy Spirit into every thought I have . . .

Heaven is breathing out with the Holy Spirit into every move I make . . .

Heaven is breathing out with the Holy Spirit into every look I gaze . . .

Breathe . . . Breathe out now with God, the Most High, the Holy Spirit of the Risen Christ.

God bless y'all now.

DAY 7 - HELL

Where is hell?

When did hell begin? And how?

Of course, no one wants to go there! Isn't that right??

Still, the question is what is hell? How did it come to "be"? Once again, when and where?

Do you really want to know?

Then, look. . . look deeply into yourself. Ask yourself: Can I live with myself? Can other live with me? Am I hell to myself? Or heaven? Am I happy with who I am, the way I am, where I am and what I am?

If I'm hell, how? How did it come about?

How do you know you're "hell"?

Simple.

You hurt yourself with ill thoughts.
You do harm to yourself with unhealthy behaviors.
You harbour fear, lust, anger, envy, jealousy, hatred and self-destructive vengeful desires in your heart.

Now, you know where hell is. It's not in the past nor the future nor anywhere out there. It's now, right here in your heart.

Again how did hell come about?

Once more, take a deep breath and look inside.

Look at Eve in the Garden of Eden. What happens to her? What does she do to bring out hell on earth?

First, she looks. Secondly, she listens. Lastly, she decides and does what her heart desires.

Yet, hell is not in her look nor hearing nor decision nor desires themselves. Nope! It is the objects of what she looks and hears and desires.

What does Eve look at? Naturally, the deadly forbidden fruit.
What or who does she listen to? Of course, the Serpent, namely the Devil.
What is the desire in her heart? You know, to be LIKE GOD.

Now, you know how, where and when "hell" comes to be.

It's the kind of objects your heart desires. Then you disregard everything only to acquire it.

What is your heart's desire? What are you looking at? What or who are you listening to?

Ultimately, everything boils down to breathing . . . . Yes, breathing! . . . . Surprise!

What are you breathing inside? What kind of breath are you feeding your soul and spirit?

Eve looks at the deadly forbidden fruit and she breathes in its sweet poisonous fragrance . . .
She listens to the soothing voice of the Serpent and breathes in the dark and doubtful spirit of the devil . . .
She swallows the fulsome fruit of false knowledge and breathes in the power to be the self-made fake Omniscient God . . . .

Then hell comes to be.

Do you want to be "hell"  for yourself and others any more?

You don't have to.

All you need to do is breathe . . . .
Breathe out yourself . . . . now.
Breathe out whatever your heart desires . . . .
Breathe out whatever the desires of the flesh is telling you . . . .
Breathe out whatever your flesh is looking at and yearning for . . . .

Breathe out now and know heaven is within you. You need no strife, you need no labour, you need no fight. Heaven is already here for free.

Heaven is within your breathing . . . Breathing out in the Holy Spirit now.

God bless y'all now.

DAY 6 - Giggle

Eck! Eck! Eck!
The more giggle you get, the less stress you have.

Do you like children's giggle?
Do you like to giggle yourself?

Giggle is good.
It relieves the mind from seriousness.
It relaxes the body from anxiousness.
It refreshes the spirit from self-centeredness.

Giggle doesn't cost you any but only helps.
It's a great way to breathe out now.

Giggle when and wherever you can.

How about now?

Breathing out now . . . eck, eck, eck, eck, eck!!!

God bless y'all now.

3/4 of Day 5 - Dizziness

Dizziness is less and lack of air or oxygen.

Worry, anxiety and stress deplete oxygen in the brain. Then dizziness comes to be.

How do you know you're worried, anxious or under stress? By what sign?

Simple. It's when you think too much or focus on one same thing for a long period of time. Then you forget to breathe.

Forget to breathe brings about dizziness.
Forget to breathe . . . . headache.
Forget to breathe . . . . worry, anxiety and stress.

Breathe . . . . Breathe out now. . . .

God bless y'all now.

Day 5 - Breathe it out now.

Breathe out now with the Holy Spirit.
Breathe in now with the Eternal Word.
Breathe up now with the loving gaze of God, the Heavenly Father.

Again breathe out now . . .

Let the Holy Spirit overshadow your entire body inside out.
Let the Eternal Word overtake your entire heart and soul.
Let the Merciful Gaze of the Heavenly Father overwhelm your mind and will.

God bless y'all now.

Day 4 - Maria Regina

My soul magnifies the greatness of the Lord,
My spirit rejoices in God My Savior,
For He has looked with favor on His lowly servant.

Everything boils down to just a look. How you look at God,
at life, at people and yourself changes everything.

The Lord God, the Almighty, looks at nothingness and
sees a beautiful universe and then says: "Let it be." Then
beauty comes to be.

The Lord God, the Almighty, looks at a clumb of clay and
sees man and then says: "Let us make." Then man comes to be.

The Lord God, the Almighty, looks at water and sees wine and then
says: "Bring it and drink it." Then water becomes wine.

The Lord God, the Almighty, looks at 2 loaves of bread and then sees
20,000 fed to the full and He takes it, blesses it, breaks it and spreads it.
Then all have their fill.

The Lord God, the Almighty, looks at Mary, a lowly maidservant and
sees "An Immaculate Heart" and then says: "My Mother." Then Mary
becomes the Mother of God.

Everything boils down to just a look. When you are in love, everything
you see looks beautiful and good.

Do you love a person or a thing only because they are good and beautiful?
Or a thing or a person becomes beautiful and good because you love?

Mary looks at God and sees Holiness and then she sings: "The Almighty
has done great things for me and Holy is His Name." Then the Holy,
Almighty Savior comes to be Her Son.

Everything boils down to just a look: "How you see God looks at you."

What are you looking at? How is your look? What do you see?

Good?!

So be it.

God bless y'all now.

DAY 3 - The Immaculate Heart of Mary

- The physiological atmosphere Mary breathes in is the Holy Spirit.
- The intellectual atmosphere Mary moves in is the Eternal Word.
- The spiritual atmosphere Mary sees is the Loving Gaze of God, the Father.

Mary always breathes the Holy Spirit, hears the Eternal Word and sees the Heavenly Father's Loving Gaze.

Her heart is home and heaven on earth for God.

Happy Immaculate Heart of Mary.

God bless y'all now.

Day 2 - Eternity

Eternity without God is hell.
One second with God is heaven.

Now is breathing out.
Breathing out is now.

Breathing out with God is heaven.
Heaven is breathing out with God right now.

God bless y'all now.
